Maxie Dean "Max" Bannister, 66, of 113 Shannah Lane, formerly of 207 South 8th Street, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Hospice of the Upstate.

Born in Greenville County, the son of the late Jesse and Beatrice Turner Bannister, Max was formerly employed with Dayco Industries and was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Lisa Bannister Freeman of Dundee, FL; his sister, Elaine Painter (Larry) of Easley; and two grandsons, Dustin and Jacob Freeman.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Johnny Touchet officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.

The family is at the residence, 113 Shannah Lane, Easley, SC 29642.
