Maxie McConnell Eades, 97, of Marietta, wife of the late Hilton C. Eades passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022. 

Born in Marietta, SC, she was the last surviving child of the late Julius Drake McConnell and Janie Attaway McConnell.

Maxie retired from J.P. Stevens, Monaghan Plant, after 45 years of service. After her retirement, Maxie began a second career as "The Bowl Digger", creating bowls, dough trays, carvings, and many other wood creations. Maxie and her creations have been showcased in multiple documentaries, magazines, as well as the SC state Museum. In her younger days she enjoyed riding Harleys.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2PM at Jones Hill Church of God, 1014 Dalton Road, Marietta, SC 29661,  with burial to follow at the church cemetery. 

Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00PM-1:45 PM at Jones Hill Church of God. 

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Jones Hill Church of God, 1014 Dalton Road, Marietta, SC 29661.
