Maybeth Tinsley Harris, 98, wife of the late Heyward Clayton Harris, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, January 27, 2022.
Born in Easley, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lillie Merrill and Louie S. Tinsley, Sr.
She graduated from Easley High School Class of 1940 and was the co-owner of Pickensville Super Market from 1958-1983. She was a member of Easley First Wesleyan Church, which is now United Wesleyan Church, where she served as church clerk for 25 years and Sunday School Secretary for 32 years.
After retirement, Mrs. Harris enjoyed traveling across the country with her husband, and being involved with the Easley Senior Center where she taught quilting. She dearly loved her family and playing Bingo with her friends at the Retreat. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Harris is survived by two daughters, Leritha Harris of Santa Cruz, CA, and Karen Jane Abercrombie (Chip) of Warsaw, VA; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Harris was predeceased by a son, Gerald D. Harris; a daughter, Wanda Alexander; two brothers, Louie S. Tinsley, Jr. and Charles Wesley Tinsley; a sister, Edith Tinsley Bates; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2022 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
