Mayhew Martin Clark, 91, of 103 Chestnut Drive, husband of the late Helen Morrell Clark, died Saturday, February 3, 2007, at his home.

Born in Hammond, KY, a son of the late William and Millie Smith Clark, Mr. Clark was a graduate of Berea High School and Berea College in Berea, KY, and retired as a salesman with Ethyl Corporation. He was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Clark was an avid gardner and a member of the American Rose Society. He served with both the US Marines and US Navy during World War II.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth Alan Clark of Decator, GA; a daughter, Margaret Lynn Dowell and her husband, Ronald, of Marietta, GA; three brothers, Bert Clark of Flint, MI, Andrew Clark of Batesville, IN, and Glynn Clark of Aurora, IN; and three sisters, Edmonia Collins of Kettering, OH, Amanda Snider of Canoga Park, CA, and Mae Shierling of Quincy, IN.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Easley Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Steven Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends from Noon until 1:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, and will be placed in the church at 1:45 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be made to Berea College, CPO 2216, Berea, KY 40404, or to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, 1247 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063.

The family is at the residence.
