Maynard Bagley

Maynard Ellwood "Bus" Bagley, 81, of 329 Greenhill Drive, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Ellerslie, MD, a son of the late Ross and Pearle Bagley, Mr. Bagley retired as a clerk with B & O Railroad and was of the Methodist faith. Bus was an outstanding member of the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge, the Severna Park Elks Club and the Moose Lodge in Anderson. He served proudly with the US Navy during World War II and later became a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Bagley was an avid pool player, joke teller, and had a genuine compassion for the pets he cared for. He resided in Severna Park for most of his life caring for and devoting his life to his wife, Harriett Iona Bagley. Upon her passing, Bus moved to and spent the remaining years in Anderson, SC.
He was a good father to Bruce Lee Bagley, Sr., of Arnold, MD, and to Debra Kay Hess and her husband, John, of Anderson. A blessed grandfather to five, Bruce Lee Bagley, Jr., Lindsey, Kelly, and Melissa Hess and Amanda Bagley. He also leaves a brother, Ross Bagley of Millersville, MD and a sister, Almeda Stroup of Pasadena, MD, and a special niece and nephew, Lloyd and Eileen Reed as well as a multitude of friends and neighbors who will miss him dearly.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at the Mariner Church, 1592 Whitehall Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. The service will be followed by a reception to be held at Cafe Mezzanotte. Burial of the remains will be private at a later date.
