Melissa Ann "Missy" Barfield

Melissa "Missy" Ann Barfield, 49, of Pelzer, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018.

Born in Greenville, Melissa was employed with Sagem (Standard Motor Products) and attended Westville Baptist Church. She loved to color, spoil her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. She would do anything for anybody, and her "heart of gold" will be remembered by everyone.

Surviving are her parents Martha Long Barfield and Charles Larry Barfield of Piedmont and Bruce Borden of Greenville; her husband Jerry Lewis Mattison of Pelzer; her son Zachary Mattison of Easley; her two daughters Nicole Mattison and Shae Mattison (Quinton Johnson) both of Greenville; her two brothers Justin Barfield (Holland) of Easley and Brad Borden of Greenville; her two sisters Rena Holbert (Curt) of Liberty and Nancy Brown of Greenville; her maternal grandmother Martha Long of Powdersville; and her three grandchildren Aliyana, Jaquan, and Zaylen Mattison.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Edward Long; and her paternal grandparents Rufus and Opal Barfield.

The family will host a memorial service Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Donaldson Church of God, 1330 Fork Shoals Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
