Melvin Dove

Melvin Dove, 69, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at his residence. A native of Pendleton, he was a son of the late John B. and Ollie Morris Dove.

He is survived by a special friend of the home, Sue Norris and by the mother of his children, Linda Dove. He is also survived by sons: Steve Dove and Jeff Dove of Central and Greg Dove of St. Augustine, FL; brother, Herman Dove; sisters, Nannie Belle Timmerman of Cornelia, GA, Mary Kinley of Anderson, SC, Johnnie Ann Deitsch of Ware Shoals, Willie Mae Smith of Pendleton and Helen Inez Dove of Cornelia, GA; grandchildren, Mary and Gregory Dove of Waldo, FL and great-grandchildren Zane and Zoe Browning of Waldo, FL. He was predeceased by a brother, Willie Dove and sisters, Lorena Wilson, Laura Ellen Allen, Linnie Dove and Phyllis Dove.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11am in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. There will be a private committal service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice of Anderson. The family is at the residence, 3210 Old Greenville, Hwy., Central, SC 29630.
