Melvin E. "Trouble" Suddeth, 83, husband of the late Doris Chastain Suddeth, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 20, 2019.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Russell Earl Suddeth and the late Jessie Mae Stokes Suddeth, he was a retired Highway Patrolman after twenty-five years of service and served his country in the Army National Guard for nine years. Mr. Suddeth was also a cherished member of Tabor United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Melvin Scott Suddeth of Easley; daughters, Judy S. Jenkins (Tommy) of Liberty and Sheila Suddeth of Easley; brothers, Randall Suddeth of Liberty, James Kenneth Suddeth of Easley, and Donnie Suddeth of Pickens; grandchildren, Britney Swayngham (Scott), Alex Suddeth, and Jody Moore, all of Easley; and great-grandchildren, Justice Moore and Braxli Swayngham, both of Easley.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Suddeth was predeceased by a sister, Judy Lynn Suddeth.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the funeral home.
