Melvin B. "Mickey" LaBoone

October 11, 1960 — January 29, 2017

Melvin B. "Mickey" LaBoone, Jr., 56, of Piedmont, husband to Lauren Dixon LaBoone, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Greenville to the late Melvin B. LaBoone, Sr. and Charlotte Boggs LaBoone.

Mickey attended Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Easley for most of his life. He attended Shannon Forest Christian School and Wade Hampton High School in Greenville. He worked for Norfolk and Wire Electronics for 10 years and Holder Electric Supply for 8 years. Mickey was a member of the N.H.R.A., N.R.A., Palmetto Ski and Outing Club, and was a member of the Wild Turkey Bowling Team. He enjoyed bowling, guns, working on anything, especially cars and anything electrical, and hanging out with his friends at the lake.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lauren, of 32 years; children, Alexandria LaBoone and Cameron LaBoone; the Mixtrell's, Louthan's, Cribbs', and the Bechtold's; dog, Chloe; cats, Taz and his best friend, Sadie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4th at 1:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley with the Rev. Dr. Keith Shorter officiating.

The family will have a private reception at the residence immediately following the service.

Memorials may be made directly to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Rd, Greenville, SC 29607.
