Melvin Lee Wyatt, 76, of 1703 West Parker Road, died Monday, June 8, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Wyatt was born in Greenville, a son of the late Raymond and Lucille Johnson Wyatt. He retired from Dan River - Woodside Mill and also from American Security. Mr. Wyatt was a member of Woodside Baptist Church and the Greenville Lion's Club.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Looper Wyatt of Greenville; a daughter, Sylvia W. Taylor and her husband, Raymond, of Greenville; brothers, William "Bill" Wyatt and his wife, Nita, of Texarkana, Texas and Bill Wyatt and his wife, Judy, of Greenville ; sisters, Shirley Sellers, of Leesburg, Georgia and Mary Garrett and her husband, James, of Laurel, Mississippi ; grandchildren, Casey Taylor, of Greenville and Melvin "Todd" Taylor and his wife, Jennifer, of Taylors and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, Easley, with Reverend Ronnie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

The family is at the residence.
