Merrill Duane Mills, 71, of 135 Oak Springs Court, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Altoona, PA, a son of the late Merrill Simon and Geraldine Simpson Mills, Mr. Mills retired from General Motors Corporation in Janesville, WI, where he belonged to the UAW Local 95, and was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Grace Pulcine Mills of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Laurie Mills of Port Richie, FL; four daughters, Debra Haas and her husband, Rock, of White Lake, MI, Teresa Lucciano and her husband, Adam, of Altoona, PA, Kathleen Mills and her husband, Robb, of Easley and Christin Mills of Janesville, WI; grandchildren, Genevieve, Ashley and her husband, Curtis, Gabriel and his wife, Serah, William, Kenny, Conrad, Jeremy and his wife, Laurie, Michelle, Alana, Brian, Kaley, Kaitlin, Jayden, Jordon, Kayla and Jaya; great grandchildren, Tyler, Gabbi and Makenziey; six brothers and six sisters; and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mills was predeceased by a son, Merrill Duane Mills, Jr.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Pastor Gabriel Mills officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown is assisiting the family with arrangements.
