Michael Thomas George, 44, of 104 Arcadian Lane, died Monday January 1, 2007 at his residence.

Born in Clarence Center, NY, he was a son of Patricia M. Willett Borden of Easley and the late Albert George, Jr. He previously worked as a cook for Ryan's Steakhouse and was of the Greek Orthodox Faith.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Gary George and wife Kathy of Clarence Center, NY, Mark George and wife Linda of Tonawanda, NY; four sisters, Karen Brundage and husband Richard of Easley, Cathy Alexander and husband Jerry of Greenville, Kim Warren and husband Jerry of Easley, Sandy Honsberger and husband Lynn of East Amherst, NY; a step-brother, Russell Borden and wife Sandy of Easley; two step-sisters, Cindy Mercer and husband Chris of Atlanta, GA, Gretchen Halberstadt and husband Ted of Greenville; 16 nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his step-father, Max G. Borden. He was loved dearly by all of his family and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with Reverend Benny Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Center of the Carolinas; 3 Butternut Drive, Suite B; Greenville, SC 29605.

The family is at the residence.
