Michael Wesley LaBoone, 49, formerly of Easley, of 11 Cedarwood Circle, Pikesville, Maryland, died May 10, 2007.
Born in Greenville, Mr. LaBoone was a son of Lois Ford LaBoone-Smith of Easley and the late Jones West LaBoone. He graduated from Wren High School and attended Greenville Tech and Furman University. He was employed by XM Radio in Washington, D.C. and was formerly employed by WYFF. Mr. LaBoone was a Methodist and a former member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother are one son, Jeremy LaBoone and his wife, Tanya, of the 1st Cav. Div. at Ft. Hood, Texas; one brother, John C. LaBoone, and his wife, Tracy, of Easley; three grandchildren, Kadin, Adrix and Joscelin LaBoone; and two nieces, Amanda and Katherine.
Funeral services will be 3:30 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:30 P.M. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a fund for his grandchildren, c/o Ruth Nations, P.O. Box 1228, Easley, S.C. 29641 or to the charity of one's choice.
The family is at the home of his mother, Lois LaBoone-Smith, 202 Haverhill Circle, Easley, S.C. 29642.
