Michael Fred "Tater" Manley, 50, of 203 South Retreat Road, Westminster, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
Born in Anderson, he was the son of Betty Moore Manley Lavallee, and his step-father, Robert of the home and the late J.W. Manley. Mr. Manley was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Eric Manley and wife Heather of Central and Christopher James Manley and wife Carrie of Easley; two sisters, Cathy Worley of Westminster and Marlene Bryson of Six Mile; 5 grandchildren; Gabby, Alexis, Austin, Ashton and Dawn. Also surviving are aunts and uncle; Grace Shirley of Central, SC and Larry and Elnora McCarley of Anderson.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Mitchell Manley.
Funeral services will be 2pm, Friday, at Central Church of God Prophecy with Revs. Michael Willis and Lonnie Donald officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6pm-8pm, Thursday, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 pm Friday
