Michael Keith Merritt, 51, of 102 Forest Hill Drive, went to his heavenly home Friday, March 16, 2012 at his home.
Born in Greenville County, Michael was a son of the late Bobby Keith and Jean Harrison Merritt. He was a graduate of Wren High School Class of 1978, and was employed with Wigington Scrap Metal for twenty-seven years.
Surviving are his wife of thirteen years, Lisa Trotter Merritt of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Jade Merritt, a brother, Brian Keith Merritt and wife, Mitzi; a sister, Vicky Merritt Moody; eight nephews, seven nieces, twelve great-nieces, thirteen great-nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who are going to miss him very much.
At a young age, he loved fishing, hunting and being outdoors with his friends. In later years, he spent time with his family, riding his motorcycle with his brother and friends, and white water rafting. He loved working in the yard and around the house.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
The family is at the residence.
