Michael L. Richardson

Michael L. “Mike” Richardson, age 79, of Powdersville, South Carolina, loving husband of Rosemary McWhorter Richardson, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025. 

Born on October 31, 1946, in Anderson, South Carolina, to the late Fred L. Richardson and Lucille McIntyre Richardson. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserve. Michael pursued his education at Clemson University, and dedicated his professional life to Bell South, where he served for 30 years as a sales manager. Michael enjoyed spending time outdoors. The community of Cooper Lane in Powdersville will miss seeing their neighbor “Mike” in his outdoor hat. Michael will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the love he had for his family and friends. In addition to his wife, 

Michael is survived by his son, Michael Jeffery Richardson (Sharon) of Easley, South Carolina; his daughter, Susan Michelle Richardson of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; his brother, Larry Sidney Richardson of Greenville, South Carolina; his sister, Brenda Dukes of Reevesville, South Carolina; his grandson, Seth Joseph Richardson; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Miriam Isbell; his grandson, Michael Tyler Richardson. 

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2025, in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, Easley. A private burial will be held in Greenville Memorial Gardens at a later date.
