Michael Thomas Rogers, 66, of Pendleton, husband of Susan Kimberly Croft Rogers, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at AnMed Health in Anderson.
Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Betty Ann Pridgeon and Giles Vernon Rogers, Jr. He was a graduate of Dorman High School was a retired Senior Reactor Operator with Duke Energy, a volunteer with the Walker-McElmoyle Fire Department and a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church. He was a US Navy veteran, a former member of the Sandy Springs Water District, a member of Gideons International and with his wife spent many years training and showing German Shepherds.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Sara Elizabeth Rogers and Laura Caroline Rogers both of Pendleton; sisters Anna Vanderbrink of Boiling Springs and Sally Chalk of Inman; 4 grandchildren Jada Tamia Mattress, Jorden Tyrese Mattress, Dylan Wayne Harris and Kaylee Shiree Harris.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Laurie Ruth Lunsford.
Funeral services will be 4 pm, Tuesday at Trinity Wesleyan Church with Rev. Mike McClung officiating. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:50 PM, Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
