Michael Vullmer, 61 died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in Augusta, GA. A native of South Carolina, he was the son of the late Louise Gray and John Gilbert Fulmer. He was educated in schools in South Carolina and Virginia and had been employed at the Augusta VA Hospital System. A member of the Clemson United Methodist Church, he was a US Air Force Vietnam Era Veteran.
He is survived by a daughter, Hannah Stone of Colorado; his brother, John G. Fulmer, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Chattanooga, TN; his twin sister, Mary F. Sargent and her husband Dick of Greenville, SC; and six nieces and nephews, Seth Sargent of Birmingham, AL, Michael Sargent of Wilson, NC, Alice Sargent of Charlotte, NC, Russell Fulmer of Chattanooga, TN, Shannon Alexander of Nashville, TN and Zack Fulmer of Orlando, FL.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Clemson United Methodist Church in Clemson, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the HCR Manor Care Foundation (Heartland Hospice) 1365 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, GA 30909 or The Clemson United Methodist Church.
