Michele Marie Havird

Michele Marie McGorman Havird, 48, of Piedmont, gained her angel wings, and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday, April 21, 2016, and beloved wife of John Oliver Havird.

Born in Detroit, MI to David "Butch" Douglas McGorman and Marian Joyce Williamson McGorman.  

She graduated from Oak Hill High School in West Virginia, attended the Virginia Hair Academy, and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Greenville Tech in Interior Design.   Michele enjoyed gardening, traveling, shopping, arts & crafts, dancing and music, and interior decorating.   She especially took pride in raising her son, Braelon, who is currently serving our country as Senior Airmen in the US Air Force.   She was his mother, rock, and best friend.

In addition to her parents and husband, Michele is survived by her son, Braelon and labradoodle, Mr. Mango; sister, Erin McGorman; mother and father in law, Carol and David Havird; nieces, Ella Zayne and Elin Michele; nephew, Phoenix; 2nd mother, Pam; special siblings, Rezan, Ms. Karen, and Jason; and many other special friends.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, April 24th at 3:00PM in Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley with Pastor Susan Leonard Ray officiating.

Family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:45PM prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.   All are welcome to stay for the memorial service and celebration of her beautiful life.

In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be made directly to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Rd #101, Greenville, SC 29615, or to the Animal Emergency Clinic, 393 Woods Lake Road, Greenville, SC 29607.
