Mildred "Millie" M Bowers, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024. She was a remarkable person who touched the lives of many with her kind heart and selfless nature. Born on December 20, 1933, Millie lived a life filled with love, dedication, and genuine care for others.

You couldn't help but love Millie if you had the pleasure of meeting her. She radiated warmth and positivity, making everyone around her feel at ease. Her friends and neighbors were privileged to have Millie in their lives. She always went above and beyond to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Millie's heart of gold was evident in everything she did.

One of Millie's passions was gardening. With her green thumb and meticulous care, she cultivated a beautiful backyard that brought joy to all who saw it. She took pride not only in her own personal growth but also in creating an environment that nurtured beauty and tranquility for others to enjoy.

Beyond her hobbies, family held the utmost importance in Millie's life. Her proudest accomplishments revolved around the love she had for her family members. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she dedicated herself selflessly to their happiness and well-being. Millie never missed a birthday or special occasion; she treasured each moment spent with her loved ones and made sure they always felt cherished.

Millie is survived by her two children, Michael James Bowers (Yolanda) and Allison Marie Bowers as well as her grandchildren Lindsay Allison Wright (Joshua) and Michaela Danielle Davis (Billy). She also leaves behind her four great-grandchildren Judson Emory Wright, Jameson Everett Wright, Jett Edison Wright, and Addilyn Rose Davis. She also is survived by her siblings, James B. Benson (Deborah), Johnny Hubbard, Anne Benson Lupo, and Dorothy Benson.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, James J. Bowers as well as her parents Van N. Benson Sr and Alma M. Benson. She is also predeceased by her brother Van N. Benson Jr.

The services honoring Millie's life will be held at Rock Springs Baptist Church located at 212 Dayton School Rd, Easley, South Carolina, on January 15th, 2024. The visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. It will be live-streamed at https://livestream.com/rockspringsbaptist/funerals
