Mildred Marjorie Chastain, wife of Harold Clayton Chastain died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley. A native of Central she was a daughter of the late Furman Sr. and Marie Gossett. She worked at Central Textiles for 20 years and was also a volunteer for Central Rescue Squad.
Surviving in addition to her beloved husband of 51 years, Harold Clayton Chastain are eight children, Roger and David Chastain of Easley, Donnie Chastain of Liberty, Susan Edmond, Lynn Barnes and Jimmy Chastain of Central, Elaine Smith of Seneca and Walter Chastain of Pendleton; 21 grandchildren, Dale and Jason Chastain, Sonya Bigham, Frances Roach, Monica Dutton, Carrie Martinez, Joey and Nathan Edmond, Marie Grant, David Chastain Jr., Ruby Brown, Chris Barnes, Ashley Scott, Tasha Barnes, Allen Barnes, Eric Schrum, Benji and Anthony Smith and Amber, Josh and Samantha Chastain; 26 great-granchildren; 5 sisters; 1 brother; 3 son-in-laws and 3 daughter-in-laws.
Funeral services will be Friday at 3pm in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm at the funeral home.
