Mildred Barnes "Tig" Garrick, 79, formerly of St. Lo Circle, wife of the late John Calvin Garrick, Jr., died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Transylvania Community Hospital in Brevard, NC.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Jay and Myrtle Swayngham Barnes, Mrs. Garrick retired from Cornell-Dubilier and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a sister, Rose Ann Collins of Easley; A granddaughter, Shannon Garrick of Easley; a great-grandson, Brent Boyter of Easley; and a nephew, Tim Bagwell of Easley. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Garrick was predeceased by a son, Jerry Dale Garrick, a brother, Jay Barnes, Jr., and two sisters, Marion Faye Bagwell and Bessie Mae Crowe.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1162, Pickens, SC 29671.
The family is at the home of Shannon Garrick, 106 Edgewood Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.
