Mildred McRee Gillespie, 83, formerly of 113 South 7th. Street, died Friday, October 23, 2009 at Easley Living Center.
Born in High Shoals, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Grady Thomas and Lillie Crawford McRee. Mrs. Gillespie was retired from the Food Services Department of Easley High School and was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. She also served as a volunteer at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley for many years.
Mrs. Gillespie is survived by a son, Terry Gillespie (Pam) of Mauldin; a daughter, Elaine Adcox (Kenneth) of Easley; five grandchildren, Kim Flory (Brian), David (Angela) and Brent Adcox and Chris (Lydia) and Derek (Melinda) Gillespie and six
great-grandchildren, BreAnn and Allyson Adcox, Emily and Erin Ford, Jacob Gillespie and Ashley Flory.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gillespie is predeceased by her husband Thomas Raymond (Red) Gillespie; two sisters, Joyce Moore and Emma Mull and three brothers, Charles McRee, Eugene McRee and Edwin (Bo) McRee.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of the daughter at 121 Rockmont Road, Easley, SC 29640.
