Mildred Moore Gray, 89, of Washington Avenue, wife of the late Charles Edwin Gray, Sr., died Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, the daughter of the late Dover and Dee Anna Putnam Moore, Mrs. Gray retired from Stone Manufacturing Company after forty-four years of service, and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church where she belonged to the Dorcus Sunday School Class and sang in the church choir.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis G. Harden of Easley; a granddaughter, Michelle H. Garrett and husband, Scott, of Greer; and two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Abby Garrett of Greer. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gray was predeceased by a son, Charles Edwin Gray, Jr; and a brother, Marvin Moore.
Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. Alton Nix officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 14 Derring Street, Greenville, SC 29605 or to Park Street Baptist Church, 114 Robinson Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.
Family members are at their respective homes.
