Mildred Williams Hood, 84, of 501 Hood Road, went to be with the Lord
Wednesday July 1, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital - Downtown.

Mrs. Hood was born in Anderson County, SC, a daughter of the late
Bristol H. and Fannie Looper Williams, She was a homemaker and a
lifetime active member of Siloam Baptist Church where she was a member
of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class.

Surviving are two sons, Doug Hood, of Piedmont and David Hood and his
wife, Rebecca, of Powdersville ; daughters, Sharon Humphries and
Sandra Syracuse and her husband, Jody, all of Powdersville ; a sister,
Nannie Mae Williams, of Easley ; 9 grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
James Frank Hood, Jr.

Funeral Services will be 11:30 am Friday at Siloam Baptist Church with
the Reverend Dr. Ron Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in the
church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:30 am, prior to the service,
at the church.

The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 am.

Members of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class will serve as
honorary escort for the service.

The family is at the home.

Siloam Road, Easley, SC 29642.
