Mildred S. LewisEasleyMrs. Mildred Swinson Lewis, 95, wife of the late DeWitt G. Lewis, Sr., passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Magnolias of Easley.Born in Duplin County, NC, a daughter of the late Ben Sutton and Minnie Lewis Swinson, Mrs. Lewis was a retired Registered Nurse having worked with Samson Memorial Hospital, Duplin General Hospital and Cherry Hospital. She was a previous member of the NC Nurses Association and served as a delegate for the American Nurses Association. Mildred was of the Methodist faith.Surviving are two sons, DeWitt G. Lewis, Jr. of Easley and Edwin Lee Lewis of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lewis was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM Friday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.Family members are at their respective homes.Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, which is assisting the family.
