Mildred Lewis McAlister, 96, formerly of East First Avenue, wife of the late J.B. McAlister, died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at the Brian Center in Brevard, NC.
Born in Oconee County, a daughter of the late Seth and Lula Cole Lewis, Mrs. McAlister was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Easley.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Ann McAlister of Conover, NC; a brother, Robert Lewis of Greenville; a sister, Christine Fowler of Greenwood; two granddaughters, Susan McAlister Martin and her husband, Bryan, and Amy McAlister Teubner; and two great-grandsons, Jacob Teubner and Jackson Martin. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McAlister was predeceased by a daughter,
Margaret M. Speaks, a grandson, Jacob Long, a brother, Quinton Lewis and by a sister, Ora Lee Lunsford.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
