Millie Robinson Ballinger of Clemson, SC passed away on March15, 2022. She was born in Greenville, SC to the late David Wardlaw Robinson and Edna Lee Robinson and was predeceased by her beloved husband, William H. Ballinger. She is survived by her daughter, Kitty Storey and her late husband, Toney; and three sons, Dr. W.H. Ballinger and wife, Verna; David R. Ballinger and wife, Susan; John B. Ballinger and wife, Sarah.
Grandchildren: Mac Storey and wife, Brie; Drs. John Storey and wife, Alice; Dr. William H. Ballinger III and wife, Erin; Anne Ballinger Miley; David R. Ballinger Jr, and wife Anna Kate; Susannah Padgett and husband Richard; Dr. Baxter W. Ballinger and wife Alex; Madeline Mitchell and husband Brett; Lucibeth Davis and husband Jesse; and Emma Kate Ballinger.
Great Grandchildren: Millie and Michael Storey; Cora Storey; Liam and Jack Ballinger; Burgess and William Miley; Vivienne and Oliver Padgett; Georgia and Barron Ballinger; and Tommy Mitchell.
Millie graduated from Erskine College with a major in the Arts. She worked as assistant editor of research in the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She conducted a private school of drama and was honored by Erskine College for her achievements in the Arts. She created many roles and received national acclaim for her one-woman play "The Belle of Amherst" at the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC. She always claimed her four children to be her finest "productions." Millie was a past Sunday School teacher and member of the Clemson Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Troy ARP Church in Troy, SC. Burial will follow in Troy Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM, Friday, March 18, 2022 at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home & Cremations, Central-Clemson Commons, Central, SC.
