Mildred Phillips Morris, 86, wife of the late John Morris, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House.

Mrs. Morris was born in Greer, a daughter of the late James and Myrtle Puckett Phillips. She retired from Woodside Mills, worked for Walmart in Greenville, SC as a door greeter and was a member of Georges Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Jean Miller (Walton) of Belton and Debbie Deschenes (Rick) of Taylors; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her second husband Layton T. Pangle; a son, Brian Keith Pangle; a daughter, Ann Brewer; four brothers; three sisters; and a special friend Robert (Bob) Ridgill.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow at Graceland West Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
