Mrs. Mildred Lee Walden Novak, 85, of Greenville, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital - Eastside.
Mrs. Novak was born in Charlotte, NC on July 15, 1930 to the late Eustace and Ethel McCoy Walden. she worked as a factory worker at Stanadyne in Chicago for 16 years before her retirement. She was an avid shopper.
Mrs. Novak is survived by a daughter; Mary Ann Anderson of the home; a sister; Mary Ellen Bass (Ralph), of Greenville; three granddaughters; Michelle May Anderson, Nicole Lee Anderson, and Meghan Elizabeth Andrson, all of Greenville; and a great-grandson; Thomas Andrew Simmons of Greenville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son; Stephen Anthony Novak.
Services for Mrs. Novak are private, and a private committal service will be held at a later date at Robinson Memorial Gardens in Easley. The family will be at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Mrs. Novak's name to a charity of your choice.
