Mildred Raines Simpkins, 93, of 13 Spy Glass Lane, wife of the late Boyd Alexander Simpkins, Sr., passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
Born in Princeton, WV, a daughter of the late Milby and Lucy Belle Baker Raines, Mrs. Simpkins retired as a school teacher in Maryland and West Virginia and was a member of Princeton First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Boyd A. Simpkins, Jr., and wife, Carol, and Al Mason Simpkins, all of Easley; a daughter, Kathy Brooks and husband, Tom, of Salem; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Simpkins was predeceased by six sisters.
Mrs. Simpkins is being transferred to Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton, West Virginia for services and burial.
