Mrs. Mildred Wallen Sisk, 84, of 111 Thompson Trail, Easley, loving wife of Mellie Sisk, Jr., went to her eternal home in heaven on September 10, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital - Downtown in Greenville.
Mrs. Sisk was born in Greenville, SC on July 6, 1931 to the late Nora Campbell Wallen. She lived a life of service to her Lord and her family. She was a wonderful homemaker and a loving wife. Homebound for several years, she served as a mighty prayer warrior for her family and friends. She was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church where she formerly served as a Sunday School Teacher and leader of the bereavement ministry.
Mrs. Sisk is survived by two daughters; Patricia Ann Welsh (John), of Easley, and Dorothy Jean Smith (Keith), of Greenville. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband of 66 years who passed away August 26, 2015 and her parents, Mrs. Sisk was preceded in death by a daughter; Deborah Jane Heatherly; and two sisters; Lillian W. Sheppard and Nellie Ruth Dean.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
Graveside Services will follow at 4:00 PM on Sunday September 13, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the United Christian Ministries, 303 Dacusville Highway, Easley, SC 29640.
