Miller Claire Latham, affectionately known as MC, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
Born on March 8, 2022, in Greenville, South Carolina, daughter of Ashley Powell Latham.
Though her time with us was brief, Miller Claire's impact will be cherished forever. As we gather to honor Miller Claire's memory, we will find solace knowing that she is now cradled in arms of Jesus, forever watching over us.
To know MC, was to love her. Her little dolphin like laugh was contagious. As was her crooked, little cross bite smile. Her sweet, sassy personality and all her funny expressions lit up the room.
Miller’s favorite thing to do was to pick leaves off all the trees and bushes. She loved to sing the wheels on the bus, read books, Ms. Rachel, stroller rides, baths, to eat, dogs and her MOMMA.
In addition to her momma, Miller Claire is survived by her grandfather, Rodney Latham (Kim); an uncle, Brandon Latham (Anna); cousins, Kye and Cruz Latham; and “aunts”, Jade Grant, Lynn Odum, Treva Woolbright, Amanda Adams, Chase Kay, Pam Lanford, Alex Odum, Nitsa Demas, Brantley Coker, and Jennifer Drake.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Kim Powell.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
A celebration of Miller Claire’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
The family request that colorful clothing instead of black clothing be worn to the visitation and celebration of life. We want her memory to stay just as bubbly as she was.
Flowers will be accepted, or the family requests for you to bring Stuffed Animals, children's toys, or books that will be donated to Prisma Health – Greenville Memorial Hospitals PICU in memory of Miller Claire.
Miller Claire’s legacy will live on through all who knew her and loved her. But will also live on through her Gifts of Life as she was an organ donor.
Miller Claire Latham's grace, spirit, and love will forever be etched in our hearts. Though her time with us was short, the impact she made is immeasurable. In her memory, let us cherish each day, find joy in life's simple pleasures, and embrace the gift of love with open arms. Rest in eternal peace, dear Miller Claire.
