Minnie Dunn Garrett, 83, of 606 South Fifth Street, beloved mother, and grandmother, died Friday, February 3, 2006, at her home.
Born in Pickens County, she was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Tom Garrett and was a daughter of the late Henry Dunn and the late Charlie and Effie Dunn Blair.
Surviving are two sons, and daughters-in-law, Joe and Barbara Garrett of Pickens and Rat and Pat Garrett of Piedmont; three daughters, and a son-in-law, Joyce and Tommy James, Linda Richardson and Melissa Garrett all of Easley; two step-sisters, Frances Ellenburg of Easley and Velma Boggs of Florida; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren who meant the world to their "Ma-Ma".
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at the home of a son and daughter-in-law, Rat and Pat Garrett, 1118 Tall Oaks Circle, Piedmont, SC 29673, on Sunday, February 5, 2006, to receive friends.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the following, Gene and Zellie Ramey for their support and care giving, Keren Ikebunjo and the entire staff of Interim Hospice, and Dr. Calvin Snipes and Dr. Cathrine Ferguson.
The family respectfully requests flowers be omited and memorials in Mrs. Garrett's memory be made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29301-9957.
