Minnie Pearl Austin Turner

Mrs. Minnie Pearl Austin Turner, 79, wife of the late Tony Arthur Turner, Sr., went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, March 1, 2022.

Born in Georgia, a daughter of the late Wiley Andy Austin and the late Mary Elizabeth Scoggins Austin, Mrs. Turner retired from the Kendall Corporation with thirty-four years of service and was a member of Newry Church of God.

Minnie loved cooking, gardening and traveling, but her greatest love was for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Surviving are her two sons, Donnie Ray Arnold (Kimberly), and James Michael Arnold, both of Newry; her daughter, Robin Arnold Lay (James) of Seneca; her step-son, Tony Arthur Turner, Jr. of Easley; a brother, Andy Austin (Patsy) of Easley; her six grandchildren, Tabatha Finley, Steven Arnold, Austin Lay, Aaron Lay, T.J. Turner and Dylan Turner; seven great-grandchildren; and her beloved pet and companion, Winston.

Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 3:15 PM Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
