Miriam Ponder Hall

Mrs. Miriam Ponder Hall, 94, wife of the late Frank Manning Hall, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Glorified Health and Rehab, Greenville, SC.
Born January 3, 1919, in Dacusville, she was a daughter of the late Dr. William M. and Kate M. Ponder. After 28 years of service, she retired as an elementary school educator from West End Elementary in Easley in 1979. She was a 1935 graduate of Dacusville High School, and a 1940 graduate of Lander College majoring in English and Elementary Education, she served as President of the Senior Class, and was selected as a member of Who's Who in America Colleges and Universities. Mrs. Hall was also a past member and regent of Daughter's of The American Revolution, and she was the first president and charter member of Daughter's of The American Colonies. She was a member of the International Teachers Sorority and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Mrs. Hall was a lifelong member of Dacusville United Methodist Church where she was a former member of the church choir, past Sunday School Teacher, past member of the Frank Hall Sunday School Class, as well as former President of United Methodist Women.
Surviving are her son, Ronny Hall and his wife, Linda of Dacusville; a grandson, Kevin Hall and his wife Katie, and their children, Maya, Jordan and Ashley Hall, all of Concord, NC; Linda Hall's daughter, Lisa McIntosh and her husband Riley, and their child, Jones McIntosh, all of Greenville. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hall was predeceased by brothers William M. Ponder, Jr. and James E. Ponder; sisters, Nan Falls, Lillian Price, Leota Breazeale, Frances Deluane, Katherine Riggins, and Mary Walters.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown and graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in the Dacusville United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Will Harper officiating.
The family invites everyone to join them for a time of fellowship in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
