Mrs. Miriam Childress Stone

Mrs. Miriam Childress Stone, 89, of Easley, loving wife of the late Carl Stone, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Oakview Park Assisted Living in Easley.
Mrs. Stone was born in Oconee County on May 6, 1927 to the late F.S. and Josie Clark Childress. She graduated from Six Mile High School, and attended Furman University for three years. She spent her life as a homemaker, and worked part time with Alexander Granite and Marble in Easley. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of Easley First Baptist Church where she was very active with the WMU, the youth, and Bible drill.
Mrs. Stone was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by numerous members of an extended family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, with the Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the Funeral Home.
The family is at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Easley First Baptist Church, 300 E. 1st Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.
