Mollie Newton Dobson, 93, widow of Porter Dobson, died January 1, 2007. She was a native of Central and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Laura Putnam Newton. She was reared by Kate Putnam.
She is survived by sons: Carl K. Dobson and wife Meda of Rancho Cordova, CA and Charles M. Dobson and wife Sue of Tuckaseegee, NC; four grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Faye Dobson.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 2:00pm at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central. The body is at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home and will be available for viewing from 11am until 1:30pm on Wednesday.
