James Monroe Pressley, 87, of 188 Floyd Circle, husband of the late Shirley Burgess Pressley, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016.



 



Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Walter Crayton Pressley and Emma Lee Black Pressley.



 



Mr. Pressley was retired from Wunda Weave in Greenville. He was a member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren.



 



Surviving are his children, James Stephen Pressley (Susie) of Easley and Cindy Pressley Gowan (Eddie) of Pelzer; grandchildren, Lauren Ready (Michael) of Seneca and Cory Taylor, who is a Cadet at the Citadel.



 



Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Graceland Cemetery, 4814 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611.



 



The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.



 



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Truth Missionary Baptist Church, 200 Saluda Dam Road, Greenville, SC 29611.



 



The family will be at the home of the son, James Pressley, 100 Woody Lane, Easley, SC 29640.
