Born in Athens, TN, on November 6, 1931, he was the son of the late P.A. and Anna B. Burger.
Mr. Burger is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Watkins Burger, one sister, Sue Burger Cobb, son, Randal M. Burger, daughter, Suzanne B. Summers (Timothy) and grandsons, Andrew, Christopher and Colin.
A private memorial service will be held.
