Moreno “Reno” Arnez Maddox, 68, of Greenville, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, September 27, 2024. He was born in Kannapolis, NC, to parents Betty Sheelor Maddox and the late Calvin Maddox. Reno was an auto mechanic by trade and loved riding motorcycles such as Ducati and Kawasaki. He was an active member of The Matrix Bike Club in Greenville, where he shared many close friendships. Reno was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed RV travel and “living off the grid.”
In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughters Errin Morenda Maddox, Kellie Dionne Maddox, and Anett Cicely Eirhart (Jeremy); his former wife, Sheryl Irby; sisters, Cheryl Maddox, Karen Brewer (Fred) and Leslie Maddox; brothers, Vachel Maddox, Geno Maddox (Michelle), Brian Maddox and Timothy Maddox (Angela). Reno adored his grandchildren Austin Jackson, Landon Taylor, Paisley Eirhart, and Ivy Eirhart, who lovingly called him “Grandad.” Being a grandfather was an absolute joy in his life.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home- Powdersville Road. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
Flowers will be accepted and appreciated by the family.
