WallaceClemson, SCMyles Stuart Wallace, 69, of 315 Princess Grace Avenue, husband of Susan Ulmer Wallace, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016.Born November 1, 1946 in Charleston, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Sam and Nellie Biggs Wallace.  He earned  B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of Colorado.  Following his undergraduate degree he served in the US Air Force for several years.  He was on the faculty at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, at Western State College in Colorado and at Clemson University where he met his wife, Susan.During his career at Clemson and after his retirement, he worked in France, Russia, Hungary, Thailand, China, Turkey and Bulgaria.  He enjoyed teaching, research, traveling, biking, kayaking and skiing.  He was a member of the Temple of Israel in Greenville.In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived by relatives and friends.A graveside committal service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, March 25, 2016 in Woodland Cemetery on the campus of Clemson University.A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, April 10, 2016 in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dr. Myles Wallace Annual Fellowship in Economics, in care of Clemson University Foundation, P.O. Box 1889, Clemson, SC 29633 or to the charity of one's choice.Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or at the funeral home.
