Myrtis Gillespie Posey

Myrtis Virginia Gillespie Posey, 79, widow of Clyde Wesley Posey died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Aaron Thomas and Bessie Marie Whitlock Gillespie. Myrtis was a former employee of Pratt Read and Company of Central and Clemson University. She was a member of Bishop Branch Baptist Church. Myrtis loved reading her Bible and loved her grandchildren.
Surviving are her son, Jimmy Posey and his wife, Kathy of Pendleton; brothers, Wayne Gillespie of Liberty, Dennis and Charles Gillespie both of Anderson; grandchildren, Chevis Posey and Cheyenne Posey.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday at Bishop Branch Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM, Friday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bishop Branch Baptist Church, Central, SC.
