Myrtle Floy Collins Hester

Myrtle Floy Collins Hester, 72, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at her home in Hickory, NC.
Born in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Myrtle McClain Collins of Central, SC. She was retired from Dollar General Stores of Hickory, NC and a life-long member of the Central First Baptist Church in Central, SC.
Surviving are a brother, Ray H. (Lillian) Collins and a sister-in-law, Patricia S. Collins of Central; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Harvey Waters of Hickory, NC who gave unselfishly of his time and energy to assist Floy during her illness.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Juanita Beth Collins and a brother, C. Roy Collins of Central, SC.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Monday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
A graveside committal service will be held in Memory Gardens, Clemson, SC at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658 or to Central First Baptist Church, 207 Johnson Road, Central, SC 29630.
The families are at their respective homes.
