Myrtle Blackwell Miles, 83, of 208 Windwood Drive, went to be with the Lord Tuesday October 28, 2008 at the home of her son in Greer.
Mrs. Miles was born in Easley, a daughter of the late Samuel William and Nora Blalock Blackwell. She retired from Hardee's in Pickens and attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Charles Edward Miles (Shirley), of High Point, NC, Samuel Ray Miles (Wanda), of Easley, Lanny Miles (Freda), of Greer and Joey Miles, of Pickens ; daughters, Vicki Alexander, of Liberty and Margaret Morris (Don), of Pickens ; a sister, Mildred Rodgers, of Greer ; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Miles ; a son, David Miles and a daughter, Marie Miles.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with the Reverend Paul Turner and Reverend Jamie Bertolini, officiating. Burial will follow in Oates Cemetery, Easley.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Lanny Miles, 337 Victor Hill Road, Greer and at the home of Margaret Morris, 217 Henderson Street, Pickens.
