Myrtle J. Riggins

Myrtle Julia Riggins, 99, died Thursday, September 08, 2011 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late David Andrew and Mary Christopher Riggins. She was a member of Refuge Baptist Church for at least 79 years and was a dedicated Christian lady. She was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by brother J. P. Riggins and his wife Martha of Pendleton; sisters-in-law Catherine Riggins of Central and Mildred Riggins of Anderson and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3pm at Refuge Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 �?" 2:30 pm prior to the service. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29625 or to Refuge Baptist Church, 2908 Old Greenville Highway, Central, SC 29630.
