Nancy Proctor Cash Barger, 75, of Powdersville, loving wife of Bob Barger, went to her final home with Jesus on Saturday, July 23, 2011.
Born in Shelby, NC., Mrs. Barger was a daughter of the late Robert and Sally Proctor. She retired from Southeastern Freight Lines and was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church. She and her husband were members of the Sonny Tripp SS Class, Young at Heart Senior Group and the "Friends in Christ" Senior Group.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are two sons, Scott Cash of Greenville, SC. and Chris Cash (Ellen) of Simpsonville; a brother, Don Proctor (Barbara) of Bostic, NC.; two sisters, Carol Ray (Tommy) of Lincolnton NC. and Cindy Greene(Don) of Rutherfordton, NC.; five grandchildren, Brittany, Savannah and Malachi Cash, Kelsie Keith and McKenzie Cash.
Memorial services will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 6:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Airy Baptist Church Building Fund, 210 Mt. Airy Baptist Church Rd, Easley, SC 29642 or McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680.
The family wishes to thank Alana, Emily, Heather, Dr. Gold, Dr Carey and the many other people of Open Arms Hospice, St. Francis who were so kind and helpful to Nancy's care. They would also like to thank all of Southeastern present and past employees who were so kind and generous with their prayers, visits and cards of encouragement. A special thank you to Ellen Cash for her loving, wonderful and outstanding care for Nancy.
