Nancy Lee Allen Leith, 77, of Easley, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Greenville Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.

Born in Emory, Virginia, Mrs. Leith was a daughter of the late John Edwin and Pauline Ethel Hillman Allen. Her ancestors were one of the first families of Virginia. Her family moved to Wilmington, Delaware in 1941. In 1956, she received a Bachelors Degree in English from the University of Delaware. After graduating, she taught tenth grade English at Conrad High School. Her family moved to Easley in 1997. Nancy was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of Circle 5. She adored all of her children and grandchildren, and she was an avid follower of her three grandchildren�??s many activities.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, William Harold Leith; a daughter, Linda Leith Giambalvo, of Easley; a son, William Harold Leith, II (Patricia), of Marietta, GA; a sister, Jane Wolfle, of Albuquerque, NM; and grandchildren, Lauren Giambalvo, Emily Giambalvo, and John MacKay Leith.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at Easley Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. William Seel officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor. A private committal service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Easley Presbyterian Church at 200 South 1st Street, Easley, SC 29640, or to a charity of one�??s choice.

The family is at the home.
