Nathaniel "Nate" Proctor

Nathaniel "Nate" Heath Proctor, 45, husband of Stephanie Nalley Proctor passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Born on February 11, 1980, in Greenville, SC, to Frances Elizabeth "Libby" Reid Proctor and the late Jerry "Doc" Richard Proctor. He was an unforgettable spirit, and to know him was to love him.

He was affectionately known as "Nate Dog" to those around him. He was also a proud graduate of Wren High School and worked at Griffin Radiator.

An avid fan of Clemson, Nate's passion for his team was matched only by his enthusiasm for life. You could always expect to see him wearing his favorite orange and purple attire. Whether he was expertly maneuvering RC race cars or tending to his vegetable garden, he approached every hobby with a joyful heart. His love for yard work and raising chickens reflected his nurturing spirit, as he always found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Nate will remember him as a man who could make anyone laugh and was kindness personified. He had a unique ability to bring people together, often hosting gatherings filled with laughter, shared stories and delicious BBQ with a variety of proud garden bounty. His proudest moments were those spent feeding family and friends, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Nathaniel had a deep love for his family, which he showed through his many gestures of care and affection. His outgoing personality brought light to anyone who was around him, and everyone who met him felt the warmth of his friendship. He was a good friend, and his generosity of spirit and love for life inspired those around him.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters; Elizabeth Ledbetter and Isabella Alvarez; brother, Steed Proctor (Dana); brother-in-law, Neal Nalley (Courtney); sister-in-law, Jennifer Milton; numerous nieces and nephews; many close friends and his four-legged fur baby, "Tank".

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, with his Celebration of Life to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel. In true Nate fashion, his family invites everyone to celebrate his life by wearing orange and purple, or their favorite Clemson gear.
