Nathern F. Bryant, 91, of Central passed away peacefully Thursday, March 4, 2021. He was born July 26, 1929 in Central, the son of Henry B. and Ressie Dacus Bryant. When he was younger, he worshiped at the Church of God in Central.
Nathern was a busy man, and although he never graduated from high school, he was able to proudly serve his country by serving in the US Marine Corps. When he was honorably discharged, he never lacked for work, eventually having his own property management business. Nathern enjoyed going to the Jockey Lot, always looking for deals. He loved reading, especially westerns.
Nathern is survived by two sisters, Mable Pelfrey and Emma Lou Worley; several nieces and nephews; and several grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Tommy, and Johnny; and his daughter, Joyce; his four brothers, Marvin, Julian, Floyd, and Lloyd; and five sisters, Allene Denny, Etrulia Yeargen, Ila Mae Simpson, Janett Stasney, and Clara Head.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 8 at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service.
